Young people feel politicans don't look out for them

Triple J findings confirm 93% of young people aged 18-29 feel Australia’s politicians aren’t supporting the best interests of young people, and 38% feel mental health is the most pressing issue affecting youth today. These distressing statistics give all the more reason to stand up and let young voices be heard at www.whynot.org.au

YMCA’s experience with young people confirm Triple J findings that mental health is real issue amongst youth. Earlier this year at our Youth Summit, and again at our YMCA Youth Parliament, young people raised their concerns about mental health, and what can be done to help prevent or treat the issue. With 38% of youth feeling mental health is the most pressing issue affecting young people, now is the time to speak up!
